Have Fun Using Color for Your Window Treatments

Many shy away from using color for their window shades or drapes, preferring more neutral palettes. Just do a search on shades and drapes and nearly every photo of the window treatment will be in a neutral shades. However, there is no reason to avoid bold statement colors for your windows. How Do you choose the right color for your home? Each year the experts come out with the color trends for that particular year. In light of the current dispositions on politics, environment, and economic forecasts, the colors chosen reflect the moods people would like to achieve for their home environment. It is unanimous that all of us need a stress-free environment and one that will promote mental clarity and serenity, yet motivates us to feel energized and active. That being said, this year's color trend can be your guide. Your own preferences based on your culture, or childhood memories will serve just as well. There is absolutely no wrong way to start!

What Are the Trends?


Jumping into the near future, the trends for 2024 will be warm peaches and spicy browns, pastels in pink and lavender, but also include radiant colors like red and lime. Look for green which signifies health, well-being, and quietude. Colors that bring to mind the universe will be making an appearance in cobalt and dusting mauve. These tones catapult us into dynamic energy will motivate us to action!
