Options for Telescoping Extension Wands for Window Shades

We often get calls from people who see our videos and want to know how to get these same parts for their window shades, for example this one:

What is this gizmo? Good question because it looks an awful lot like a vacuum cleaner attachment. It is definitely an attachment but if you took a few minutes to watch the video then you learned that this part attaches to the end of a telescopic pole. It can then grab onto the handle of the cordless window shade and make raising and lowering easier than climbing up on a step ladder.

Just a helpful tip: climbing on a step ladder can be dangerous! So you will want to use extreme care if that is what you are doing.

Back to our discussion. Most times people motorize shades that are very high and out of reach, but if that isn't an option then this attachment could work for you. Bear in mind that if your shade is older than 2020, this attachment might not be compatible with your shade. We recommend that you get in contact with us and we can better offer you assistance.

I'll be posting soon about another popular part we get many requests for, so please stay tuned!

Please note that Hunter Douglas and other companies will be eliminating cord tilt blinds due to new health mandates and standards. Your options will be a tilt wand or motorization.
